Sometimes I struggle when it comes to trying to come up with homemade snack options for my kids to send to school- they need to be easily transportable, kid friendly enough that they don't get traded but healthy enough to not give me mom guilt! This is a lot to ask from a snack!
While this snack was meant as an after dinner treat for myself, my younger daughter PLOWED through them! I made them nut free and easy enough to create the night before and refrigerate it.
(PS - the inspiration behind these are Larabars Bites, which are not school safe (contains nuts) overly sweet and EXPENSIVE!)
PS CAN YOU TELL MY DAUGHTER MADE THIS BATCH? SHE INSISTED ON GETTING ALL THE CREDIT!
